The tale of two Cups and Saucers

This is a cup and saucer I found at the Sussex, New Brunswick flea market last month.
Since I love lily of the valley on tea cups I had to have it.

This is from Royal Stafford
And...here is the mark.

When I got it home I realized I had another similar one.. but from another maker!  The designs appear to be identical.  I know some of the designs were passed back and forth between makers.  I think I prefer the Royal Stafford cup shape best but I think they are both pretty special.

Thanks for joining me  today and I hope you will visit the other Tea Time blogs as well.

I have joined with the following Tea Cup Tuesday Tea Parties.

During the summer months some of these may be on vacation. But check to be sure.

Hope you will visit them too.

Yes,the Lilly of the valley design is very similar, Beth, but the shapes of the cups are different, I see. I agree that they would be perfect for a tea for two.

Ha ha, Beth, we need anything as an excuse to buy our tea cups!! Right you are, lilly of the valley is so pretty on china, and in particular on teacups. Enjoy drinking tea from them, or just seeing them on display.
Would you like to stop by to have some tea on the river?
Have a nice week,
Jacoba

That's interesting - didn't know that they shared patterns. I couldn't make up my mine which shape I preferred they are both very nice.
