Some of this and some of that

What's For dinner????????

I like to try new recipes and one of my favorite sites to find good recipes is  The Mixing Bowl

We love Lasagna but sometimes I don't want to make a huge recipe of it.
So this is what we had for dinner last night..............
click here for recipe for Beef and Spinach Lasagna Roll Ups.

Cat Napping

.............. I love to take pics of the cats and all their strange ways. Here are a few  recent pics I have taken of our cats.  Sleeping seems to be their main job.  And they will sleep anywhere they choose.

In a box.............. yes there are two cats in the box.

On the couch, where ever they fit..................

On top of the wifi and printer..............
They do keep us entertained when they are awake and even when they nap.

Tea Cup Tuesday

I am a bit slow getting this posted but nevertheless, here I am.

http://www.marthasfavorites.com

This week I will begin a series of handpainted bone china tea cups I have for sale out in my antique and collectible shop....  Lavender and Old Lace.

This week I have a dainty, pretty little teacup made by Standard China from England.  It doesn't say it is bone china so it probably isn't but goes beautifully with the other teacups.

and here is a picture of the bottom of the teacup.

I am not trying to sell and of the teacups that I have shown here. Mostly I am just continuing to show all the different types of teacups there are available out there.
But if you are ever interested let me know.

Six Word Saturday

THE RAIN STOPPED, THE SUN SHINES!!!

At last we are going to have a sunshiny day.  We got about 5 inches out of that last storm.  Hope that makes the farmers rest a bit easier!     Even though fall is well under way here, the flowers in my garden aren't ready to give up just yet and that rain helped them alot.

It should help our local fair has a big final day.   Everyone will want to go today.

RAIN RAIN, GO AWAY, enough already.

I know we need it but not quite so much all at once.

I am sorry that I missed last Teacup Tuesday.  But I am back again this week with an interesting teacup.
It features The Scottish Thistle, the emblem of Scotland.  I seem to be drawn to the color purple or lavender so it was a natural for me to love this one.  You can click on the link to learn more about the Thistle.

I hope you like this one.

More at the market!

As I said yesterday I would show more pictures at the market.  Yesterday's were probably the prettier ones but these will show more of the variety you can find there.

Do you need a stuffed phesant?
Or perhaps some socks?

Or more socks

There are tables full of jewelry............
And you can always find planters and pots

And here is a pile of interesting stuff!
You just never know what you can find.

No better way to spend a Wednesday

That is what my husband always says about going to the big Leesport, PA flea and farmers market.  And, if you can't find it there you don't need it!

Although the temps were still in high 80s it seems like fall with all the pumpkins, gourds, apples and fall decor.

I took a LOT of pictures and will share a few with you of our day at the market.

Lots of fall produce including apples, pumpkins, gourds and vegetables.  Here are a few pictures.

There were a number of dealers that were selling things that would be good fall decor for your home. Here are a couple
I am always looking for items that I collect.....  Here is an interesting birdhouse made out of metal junk.  And a few boxes of bottles.  I only bought one but always looking.

And that was just the beginning of what we found.  Maybe I will show more stuff tomorrow.  Check in to see.
