Welcome to my Tea Cup Tuesday entry for the second Tuesday in December.
Just a quick visit today to show you the other cup and saucer I got when I was at the Regional Market in Syracuse. (over the Thanksgiving weekend.)
It is also loaded with gold on the edges.
I like the way the gold goes around the floral edging so that it makes it stand out but doesn't seem to over power it.
And I always like it when they put the flower inside the cup as well!
Here is the mark. As you can see it doesn't give the pattern a name. It is from Tuscan Bone China.
But I like the idea of calling it something like "FloraGold."
Things will be busy here for awhile but I hope to be able to continue to show tea cups each week.

What a pretty teacup! I always love Tuscan. They had some great designs! The flower in the cup means it was made prior to the 1960s, I think, when a US law came into force not allowing flowers in the cup for direct import from potteries, as someone was afraid they might be toxic. Oh really. You could by them from a retail shop that sourced them from the pottery but they had to go through a middleman. I used to import from an English pottery, and they had (the US govt.) the silliest rules!!!

I like the gold border and like how it is solid across the top and how it entwines with the floral pattern. Very elegant - a great thrifting find!

This is a very pretty vintage tea cup! I love the pretty florals, and the gold trim really sets them off beautifully! I love flowers inside and outside of a cup. Tuscan is a fine company...I have a few of their cups too.
