A Christmas Season Tea

I am so fortunate to have received some wonderful gifts of bone china from a dear friend.  She is moving to a much smaller home with her husband and doesn't have room for all of her teacups... so she said she wanted someone to have them that would appreciate them.... AND you know I will!!!  I will be sharing some of them as the weeks go by including the one I am sharing today..........

I don't really have any Christmas china for a tea party.....   but this first set will do very nicely I think.  I do love Ivy and here is a beautiful example. The extra nice thing is that it also included a matching plate.

How about some Constant Comment tea from Bigelow.  Always a favorite at our house.  I even make it into ice tea for my husband to drink at lunch.  But this time we shall enjoy it hot.

Here is a picture of the mark.  It is Crown Staffordshire fine bone china.

Today I am having some Blueberry turnovers.   I do love blueberries because they are so good and they always remind me of Maine!  I found these at our local bakery.

I have joined with the following Tea Cup Tuesday Tea Parties.

These may not be available every week so check to be sure.

Hope you will visit them too.

Sandi is having special  old fashioned Christmas Tea  this week and I am joining with her.......  Don't miss this one!!!

How wonderful to be gifted with teacups...and a perfect person! Jove the ivy, and perfect for the season! I LOVE blueberries! We have a lot of them here, but ours are bigger. Just love them fresh from the organic growers. Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

I love your ivy teacup trio, Beth! What a lovely gift! Ivy is always perfect for Christmas and brings to mind the song of the Holly and the Ivy. Your turnovers look yummy and blueberries are so good for you. Thank you for joining me for tea and have a lovely week.

Christmas blessings,
Sandi

How wonderful that your friend has gifted you with teacups. She knows they're going to a good home.
I'm almost exclusively a plain black tea lover with the exception of Constant Comment. One of my favorites too. Those scones look yummy, and that last picture made me think, like Sandi, of the song the Holly and the Ivy.
Christmas blessings to you Beth. xo Deborah

The ivy trio is a timeless pattern and quite suitable for Christmas.
I'm glad your friend entrusted you with some of her china; something many of us may have to consider as our homes downsize.
Blueberries are a staple in my oatmeal every morning, I picked enough in August to last me the winter.
